What time does the race start?
5:30pm – Boffo Breve (Youth Race) starts – 12 Minutes + 2 Laps
6pm – Mayor Corrigan starts women’s race – 37 km (30 laps x 1.2 km)
7:15pm – City Councillor Calendino starts men’s race – 55 km (45 laps x 1.2 km)
8:30pm – Awards Presentation

Where is the start/finish line located?
The Giro di Burnaby happens along the Burnaby Heights corridor, on Hastings Street between Madison Avenue & MacDonald Avenue. The stage is located at Carlton Avenue on the south-side of Hastings Street, directly in front of the start/finish line!

Road Closures
The Heights Neighbourhood will experience some traffic disruptions and parking restrictions during event time.
» Hastings Street (between Boundary and Willingdon) will be closed to all traffic between the hours of 4pm and 10pm on Thursday, July 13, 2017. Traffic traveling east and west along Hastings Street during these hours will be re-routed to Lougheed Highway.
» Access for residents north of Hastings can only be made by going north bound on Boundary or Willingdon. The right hand turn for west bound traffic on Hastings at Willingdon will not be permitted.
» Buses will be re-routed to Pender Street between Gamma and Boundary Road. There will be “No Stopping Any Time from 2-10pm” on both sides of Pender Street to accommodate the buses between Willingdon and Boundary Road.
» NOTE: Hastings Street will be cleared of all vehicles by 2pm on the North side and 3pm on the south side to allow race set up. Race start time is 5:30pm.
