The Voices of "The Giro"

The Giro will be covered by the following commentators.

Commentator: 
Steve King came on board as the commentator for the Giro di Burnaby in 2007 and is the very recognizable voice of the Vancouver Sun Run, Vancouver Marathon, Ironman Canada (past) and a multitude of other events held throughout BC and beyond!

Steve is an avid runner and tri-athlete who has held six National Age Records and completed such endurance events as Ironman, Ultraman and the 135 Mile Death Valley race.

Steve has been a colour commentator for the sport of triathlon, for CBC TV, and publisher of Tri Fit Quarterly, a triathlon magazine and has written two successful books Running in the Zone and Rapid Recovery.

Minataro (Min) Naruki-van Velzen 

Min is a former national team member and original member of the Symmetrics cycling team. Multiple national championship medalist, Multiple Provincial champion. Pilot of tandem that went to 2000 Paralymic Games in Sydney, Australia. Retired from bicycle racing in 2005.
 

(A colour commentator is a member of the broadcasting team for a sporting event who assists the play-by-play announcer by filling in any time when play is not in progress. The color commentator provides analysis and background information, such as statistics, strategy and injury reports, on the teams and athletes, and occasionally light humor.)
